Let's try Sketchbook!
First of all this isn't my first time working with Sketchbook pro, but after a long time that I checked it again with the latest version, I need to say it has changed a lot. For my internship I checked the latest desktop (free) version, it is good but the constrains of the free version bothered me.
The lineart and flat colors where done in Sketchbook while the rendering was done in Photoshop. While I normally color a good part of the whole process in Sketchbook, this time I was forced to do most of the work in Photoshop. Soon I'll buy the full package again, it then I can work again with this wonderful program on my Windows desktop again :D

ISA Retro to Modern

My ISA project for the second year was to redesign a game character from
a classic game. At first I wasn't so sure which character I would
choose, after some searching I stumbled upon the game Turrican. The game
which was released for a number of consoles, looked great. After some
research I decided to redesign the character to a modern design
standard. I choose to make it a more military theme instead of a 80's
design with all the metal.

Birdman Comes to safe the day(!?)
The inspiration for this painting was loosely based on Gathaman and Ironman. The painting was done between the homework of last week. The time that spend on this painting would be around 4.5 hours.

Alien Chrachter Design sheet
Last school period I worked on a character design that needed to be made on a several design specification. In the sheet the progress of the beginning to the final illustration can be seen. The process of making and learning from it was very resourceful.
The assignment was made in Sketchbook Pro 6 for the line-art and Photoshop for the rendering.

Balloon in the Sky
This environment was made after the concepts for a game pitch I did earlier last month. The castle and the sky where taken form a earlier concept, but rendered to a more detailed and fitting scene.

Level design sketches
These concept sketches where made for a project where I as part of a team, needed to make sketches of the mood and design for a 2D adventure game. The story was about a girl who searches for her identity. As the person who needed to design the mood for the game I focused of the different levels we had in mind. The visuals where used during the pitch that I gave last Friday.
